pimms love
i know i post a lot of pictures of pimms and lemonade. but this one (from the chelsea ram) was too pretty to leave out. especially seeing as it was a sunny day. and that doesn't happen very often at all!

crown and anchor
on monday night rudi and i went to the crown and anchor in chiswick for a drink ... and ended up staying for hours! admittedly the thing that won us over was the scrabble board, but it did have a really cosy atmosphere so we didn't feel at all like we were out-staying our welcome. they had a £5 deal for a burger and chips too. the burger wasn't amazing but it was certainly worth a fiver! the chips were delicious though! and in case you were wondering ... i won scrabble. both games.

the stonemasons arms
yesterday we went for lunch at the stonemasons arms in hammersmith. the venue was gorgeous and the outdoor seating was right in the sunshine. always a good start. but the food was not so good. rudi's burger was really delicious, but the bread in our starter was stale and although my sausages had really good flavour, the whole dish was cooked to a pretty poor standard. i was a bit bummed out. but a nice afternoon is always determined by good company, right?! and the pimms hit the spot!

weekend full of sunshine and tea parties
this weekend was a good one. plenty of sunshine, lunch at the lighthouse, a stroll around battersea park, play tea parties ... and real ones too. oh, and i also dressed as a fairy and entertained a bunch of four year olds for a birthday party. but no one really needs to see that!

the jam tree
one night this week i caught up with some girlfriends at the jam tree in kensington. it was so good to hang out with some fellow aussies - i seriously almost forgot that i was in london! good company, pimms and lemonade, ciders, pork belly, beef burgers and yummy peppermint tea. i couldn't really ask for much else! ps. you can see in the fourth photo that the pub has a bunch of board games and books. how cool is that?!
and on a totally unrelated note, check out how pretty the moon looked when i was heading home!
