sunny sunday

i have a confession. even though it was an absolutely beautiful sunny day on sunday, i stayed indoors all day. and did a whole lot of not much. but at around 7pm i finally went out. and it was glorious. these are a few shots i took in chiswick. and can i just say i am loving how late it stays light!

just the kind of weekend i needed

i was really lazy about taking photos this weekend. and now i'm really disappointed with myself coz it was such a good one! friday night we caught up with ally and joe, who are over from home and about to begin a massive eurotrip. a bit of venue hopping, lots and lots of drinks, even more laughs, a delicious burger at the windsor castle and a hell of a lot of dancing made for a fantastic night out. saturday i baked a cake and then we trekked across london to maria's birthday tea party. it was such a good afternoon full of finger sandwiches, cakes, cakes and more cakes, a little wine and a really lovely bunch of people! although by the time we got all the way back across london, we were starving again (that's the thing about teeny tiny food!) so we had a very romantic maccas date! ha! then sunday we enjoyed lunch in the sun, a wander around hammersmith and then upon returning home i went for a walk along the thames. the fresh air and beautiful surrounds were exactly what i needed. i think i need a nap after a weekend like that!

a pretty chilled weekend

yes, it's a little late ... but here's my weekend wrap-up.


it was one of those really lovely chilled out weekends. a girly lunch at the phene in chelsea on saturday (i stupidly left the memory card out of my camera so unfortunately no pics!). sunday stroll around chiswick and a coffee at kitchen and pantry and then onto the pub to watch football, munch on bruschetta and drink delicious cider. sometimes it really is great to do a whole lot of not much!

loooong weekend

i cannot even begin to explain how grateful i am for the four day weekend i just had. i soooo needed it. and it was full of great fun, too! friday was spent sleeping waayyyy too late, having eggs for breakfast (although i'm pretty sure it was past lunchtime!) and checking out a local exhibition. saturday involved another lovely sleep in, french toast and a walk along the river to richmond. and we topped it off with a super tasty (and cheap!) late lunch at love food cafe. sunday was made up of a visit from the easter bunny, dyed eggs, cupcakes and a lovely lunch out. and then monday we braved the revolting weather to visit the natural history museum. though the zillions of children everywhere kinda put a damper on that one. but we'll be sure to go back another time because what we did get to see was really interesting! all in all a fab weekend, really. it is safe to say i do not want to get back into work! oh well ... only four days til the next weekend!

brick lane

yesterday rudi and i visited brick lane and the surrounding markets.
we absolutely loved it!
food, fresh juices, books, music, clothing, homewares ... you name it, they've got it.
and street art all over the place.
oh, and twas a beautiful sunny day to boot!

weekend full of sunshine and tea parties

this weekend was a good one. plenty of sunshine, lunch at the lighthouse, a stroll around battersea park, play tea parties ... and real ones too. oh, and i also dressed as a fairy and entertained a bunch of four year olds for a birthday party. but no one really needs to see that!
