olympic fever

i just can't get enough. the last few days have been a blur of screaming and yelling at my television. come on aussies!

i know i post a lot of pictures of pimms and lemonade. but this one (from the chelsea ram) was too pretty to leave out. especially seeing as it was a sunny day. and that doesn't happen very often at all!

family.

i'm back. back from six glorious days in paris with my boy and my family. i cannot even begin to explain the feeling of finally being with my family after more than seven months apart. i am so lucky to have been able to spend the week exploring paris with them. and now they are in london for a week! although i'll be working, i am planning on spending every spare minute possible with them. as you can see above, today we had lunch at my fave cafe. it made my heart sing. i don't ever want them to leave.

so gotye's "somebody that i used to know" has been number one in the uk charts for four weeks in a row now. yes, they're a little (read: around eight months) behind the times. but it means i get my aussie music fix all the time. and that makes me one very happy chappy.
